Verne J. Troyer (born January 1, 1969) is an American actor and stunt performer. He is notable for his height of 2 ft 8 in (0.81 m), the result of cartilage-hair hypoplasia dwarfism, making him one of the shortest men in the world. He is best known for playing Mini-Me in the Austin Powers series of comedy films. Although he has never been on Saturday Night Live, he has been impersonated by Bobby Moynihan on the October 9, 2010 episode during "The New Boyfriend Talk Show" sketch and by John Milhiser on the December 14, 2013 episode during the "Guy Fieri's Full Throttle Christmas Special" sketch. Because of the real Verne Troyer has never appeared Saturday Night Live, he did appear in the "25th Anniversary" special in 1999 on September 26 and he appeared in the "Backstage" sketch as Mini Lorne Michaels.
