Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll (born February 2, 1977), known mononymously as Shakira, is a Colombian singer-songwriter, dancer, record producer, choreographer and model. She appeared on Saturday Night Live as a musical guest on December 1, 2001 where she performed "Whenever, Wherever," on December 10, 2005 where she performed "Don't Bother" and "La Tortura" (with Alejandro Sanz singing in the latter track.) and on October 17, 2009 where she performed "She Wolf" and "Did It Again."

She was also impersonated by Taylor Swift on the November 7, 2009 episode during the "Bunny Business" sketch, by Nasim Pedrad on the February 27, 2010 episode during the "We Are The World 3" sketch and by Kate McKinnon on the April 6, 2013 episode during "The Voice" sketch.
