Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll (born February 2, 1977), known mononymously as Shakira, is a Colombian singer-songwriter, dancer, record producer, choreographer and model. She appeared on Saturday Night Live as a musical guest on December 1, 2001, the seventh episode of Season 27, hosted by former professional baseball of Major League Baseball (MLB) with the New York Yankees shortstop, businessman, and baseball executive Derek Jeter, with Bubba Sparxxx where she performed "Whenever, Wherever," on December 10, 2005, the eighth episode of Season 31, hosted by actor and comedian Alec Baldwin, where she performed "Don't Bother" and "La Tortura" (with Alejandro Sanz singing in the latter track.) for her 2nd appearance and on October 17, 2009, the fourth episode of Season 35, hosted by Scottish actor Gerard Butler, where she performed "She Wolf" and "Did It Again" for her 3rd appearance.

She was also impersonated by Taylor Swift on the November 7, 2009 episode during the "Bunny Business" sketch, by Nasim Pedrad on the February 27, 2010 episode during the "We Are The World 3" sketch and by Kate McKinnon on the April 6, 2013 episode during "The Voice" sketch.
