Ronald "Ron" Paul (born August 20, 1935) is an American physician, author and politician who has been serving as the U.S. Representative for Texas's 14th congressional district, which includes Galveston, since 1997, and is a three-time candidate for President of the United States, as a Libertarian in 1988 and as a Republican in 2008 and 2012. Although he has never been on Saturday Night Live, he has been impersonated by Paul Brittain on September 24, 2011 during the "Either The 7th Or 8th GOP Debate" cold opening sketch, on October 15, 2011 during the "Yet Another GOP Debate" sketch and on November 12, 2011 during "The Republican Presidential Debate" cold opening sketch.
