Robert De Niro (born August 17, 1943) is an American actor, director and producer best known for his roles as Vito Corleone in the 1974 crime epic film The Godfather Part II, Travis Bickle in the 1976 psychological thriller film Taxi Driver, Italian-American middleweight boxer Jake LaMotta in the 1980 biographical sports drama art film Raging Bull, James "Jimmy" Conway in the 1990 crime film Goodfellas, Max Cady in the 1991 thriller film Cape Fear and as Jack Tiberius Byrnes in the 2000 comedy film Meet the Parents and its 2004 sequel Meet the Fockers.

He hosted Saturday Night Live 3 times on December 7, 2002, December 18, 2004, and on December 4, 2010, and made cameos on October 10, 1992, during the "Backstage" miscellaneous sketch, April 12, 1997, during the "The Joe Pesci Show" sketch where he was also impersonated and on October 21, 2000, during the Weekend Update segment.

He was also impersonated by Sean Penn on the October 24, 1987 episode during the "Teeny Café" sketch, by John Turturro on the November 19, 1994 episode during the "Taxi Driver, The Musical" sketch, by Alec Baldwin on the January 20, 1996 episode during the "The Joe Pesci Show" sketch and on the February 22, 1997 episode during the "The Late Show" sketch, by John Goodman on the March 16, 1996 episode also during the "The Joe Pesci Show" sketch and by Colin Quinn on the April 12, 1997 episode during the "The Joe Pesci Show" sketch where he himself made a cameo.

From April 14, 2018 to May 18 2019, he made occasional guest appearances impersonating Robert Mueller.
