Pearl Jam is an American alternative rock band from Seattle, Washington consisting of lead vocalist Edward "Eddie" Vedder III (born December 23, 1964), lead bassist Jeffrey "Jeff" Ament (born March 10, 1963), guitarists Stone Gossard (born July 20, 1966) and Mike McCready (born April 5, 1966) and lead drummer Matthew "Matt" Cameron (born November 28, 1962) and formerly lead drummer Dave Abbruzzese (born May 17, 1968) who was a member of the band from 1991 to 1994. Additionally, one of the former members, Matthew "Matt" Chamberlain, joined the Saturday Night Live Band as the main drummer in 1991.

They appeared on Saturday Night Live as a musical guest on April 11, 1992 where they performed "Alive" and "Porch," on April 16, 1994 where they performed "Not for You," "Rearviewmirror" and "Daughter," on April 15, 2006 where they performed "World Wide Suicide" and "Severed Hand" and on March 13, 2010 where they performed "Just Breathe" and "Unthought Known" and appeared in the "The Twilight Zone" sketch.

Eddie Vedder was also impersonated by Adam Sandler on the October 9, 1993 episode during the "Rock For Michael" sketch and by Bill Hader on the November 7, 2009 episode during the "Bunny Business" sketch and on the February 27, 2010 episode during the "We Are The World 3" sketch.
