The 589th episode and 4th episode of Saturday Night Live's 31st season premiered on October 29, 2005, hosted by former professional road racing cyclist Lance Armstrong and the musical guest was Sheryl Crow, a country singer-songwriter, who performed "Good Is Good" and "Strong Enough" and also appeared in two sketches: the Harmonies sketch and the Lance's Song sketch, both as herself. She also appeared in the opening monologue. This was Lance Armstrong's only time hosting and Sheryl Crow made her 3rd musical guest appearance on SNL.
