The 607th episode and 3rd episode of Saturday Night Live's 32nd season premiered on October 21, 2006. It was hosted by actor and comedian John C. Reilly, star of the hit films Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Step Brothers, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, The Promotion, Holmes & Watson, and Guardians of the Galaxy and Disney's animated film Wreck-It-Ralph and the sequel Ralph Breaks the Internet, with musical guest My Chemical Romance, a punk/rock band.
John C. Reilly made his only hosting stint on SNL, as well as the only musical guest appearance for My Chemical Romance.
