Morgan Freeman (born June 1, 1937) is an American actor, film director and narrator best known for his roles as Hoke Colburn in the 1989 comedy-drama film Driving Miss Daisy, Ellis Boyd "Red" Redding in the 1994 drama film The Shawshank Redemption, Detective Lt. William Somerset in the 1995 thriller film Seven, Eddie "Scrap-Iron" Dupris in the 2004 sports drama film Million Dollar Baby, Lucius Fox in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy and as Nelson Mandela in the 2009 biographical sports drama film Invictus.

On Saturday Night Live, he has been impersonated by Finesse Mitchell on February 19, 2005 during the Weekend Update segment and by Jay Pharoah on February 18, 2012 during the "Maya Angelou's: I Know Why the Caged Bird Laughs!" filmed commercial sketch and the October 11, 2014 episode during the "Hollywood Game Night" sketch. Freeman himself also made a cameo on October 2, 2010 during the "What Up With That?" sketch.
