Maroon 5 (formerly Kara's Flowers) is an American pop rock band consisting of lead vocalist and guitarist Adam Levine (born March 18, 1979) who is best known for being a coach on the NBC reality talent show The Voice, keyboardist Jesse Carmichael (born April 2, 1979), bass guitarist Mickey Madden (born May 13, 1979), guitarist James Valentine (born October 5, 1978) and formerly drummer Ryan Dusick (born September 19, 1977) who was a member of the band from 1994 to 2006.
They appeared on Saturday Night Live as a musical guest on February 21, 2004 where they performed "This Love" and "Harder to Breathe," on May 19, 2007 where they performed "Makes Me Wonder" and "Won't Go Home Without You," on November 5, 2011 where they performed their popular hit "Moves Like Jagger" and "Stereo Hearts" (where they were later joined by Travie McCoy) where Adam Levine also appeared as Yanni during the "Greek Gods" sketch and as himself in the "The Original Kings Of Catchphrase Comedy Volume 2" sketch and on November 17, 2012 where they performed "One More Night" and "Daylight" with Adam Levine appearing in "The Stand-Off" filmed sketch.
