Marlon Brando, Jr. (April 3, 1924 – July 1, 2004) was an American screen and stage actor. He is widely regarded as having had a significant impact on the art of film acting. While he became notorious for his "mumbling" diction and exuding a raw animal magnetism, his mercurial performances were nonetheless highly regarded, and he is widely considered to have been one of the greatest and most influential actors of the 20th century.

Although he had never been on Saturday Night Live, he has been impersonated by both original SNL castmember, John Belushi and Host, Peter Boyle on February 14, 1976 during the "Duelling Brandos" sketch. Belushi once again impersonated him by himself on November 12, 1977 during the "Godfather" sketch. By then he was impersonated by Alan Zweibel on December 15, 1979 during the "Apocalypse Now" sketch, Burt Reynolds on April 12, 1980 during the "Baba Wawa At Large" sketch, Alec Baldwin on April 21, 1990 during "The Environmentally Conscious One" sketch, John Travolta on November 14, 1994 during the "Larry King Live" sketch and by John Goodman on May 10, 1997 during Jeopardy!.
