Lenny Pickett is a longtime band saxophonist and current musical director of the Saturday Night Live Band. He joined the band for season 11 in 1985, and became co-musical director (alongside Cheryl Hardwick) with the massive cast change of season 21 in 1995. However, following Hardwick's departure at the end of season 25, Pickett became the sole music director. Prior to joining SNL, he was a member of the band Tower of Power.[1]
