Katheryn Hudson (born October 25, 1984), known by her stage name Katy Perry, is an American singer, songwriter and actress best known for her voice role as Smurfette in the 2011 3D family film The Smurfs (co-starring Fred Armisen and Kenan Thompson) and for being spotlighted in the 2011 3D documentary concert film Katy Perry: Part of Me, which documents on her latest world tour the California Dreams Tour.

She appeared on Saturday Night Live as a musical guest and once as a host. The first time was on September 25, 2010, which is the Season 36 premiere as the musical guest, hosted by longtime former cast member Amy Poehler where she performed her hit singles "California Gurls" and "Teenage Dream" and also appeared in the "Bronx Beat" sketch as Maureen DiCicco and the SNL Digital Short, and the second time was on December 10, 2011 when she served as the host only. Her second appearance as a musical guest on October 12, 2013, the third episode of Season 39, hosted by actor Bruce Willis where she performed "Roar" and "Walking on Air." Her third appearance was on May 20, 2017, which is the Season 42 finale, hosted by actor and former professional wrestler Dwayne Johnson. Her fourth appearance was on January 29, 2022, the twelfth episode of Season 47, hosted by actor Willem Dafoe, where she performed "When I’m Gone" and "Never Really Over".

She was also impersonated by Casey Wilson on the October 4, 2008 episode during the "The Less Provocative Songs of Katy Perry" sketch and by Abby Elliott on the January 15, 2011 episode during the "Bar Mitzvah" sketch.
