Jeremy Renner (born January 7, 1971) is an American actor, singer-songwriter, film producer, former makeup artist and musician best known for his roles as Sergeant First Class William James in the 2008 war film The Hurt Locker, James "Jem" Coughlin in the 2010 crime drama film The Town, William Brandt in the 2011 action film Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, Clint Barton / Hawkeye in the 2012 Marvel superhero film The Avengers and as Aaron Cross/Kenneth Kitsom in the 2012 action thriller film The Bourne Legacy. He hosted Saturday Night Live on November 17, 2012.
