George Walker Bush (born July 6, 1946) is an American politican and businessman who was the 43rd President of the United States from 2001 to 2009. He previously served as the Governor of Texas from 1995 to 2001. He is a businessman and formerly owned the Texas Rangers baseball team before he was elected Governor. He is the son of George H. W. Bush, who served as the 41st President. He is also the brother of Jeb Bush, who served as Governor of Florida from 2003 to 2011. His only appearance on Saturday Night Live was in "Presidential Bash 2000" TV special. He has been impersonated on SNL by Will Ferrell, Chris Parnell, Darrell Hammond, Will Forte and Jason Sudeikis over 70 times.

He is commonly referred to as "Bush Junior", "Dubya" (a Texas accent pronunciation of his middle initial), or "Bush 43" so he isn't confused with his father, George H. W. Bush.

Bush is the second son of a President to become President, after John Quincy Adams. He barely won the 2000 election against Vice President Al Gore, after Florida tried recounting the votes. He was known for the controversal No Child Left Behind bill, being the President during 9/11, the occasional gaffes called "Bushisms", and his deteriorating reputation during the 2008 Great Recession. He was succeeded by Barack Obama.
