Queen Elizabeth II (Elizabeth Mary, April 21, 1926 – September 8, 2022) was the constitutional monarch of 16 sovereign states (known as the Commonwealth realms) and their territories and dependencies, as well as head of the 54-member Commonwealth of Nations, the Supreme Governor of the Church of England and, in some of her realms, carries the title of Defender of the Faith as part of her full title.

Although she has never been on Saturday Night Live, she has been impersonated by Jeanette Charles on April 23, 1977 during the "Save Great Britain Telethon" sketch, by Joan Cusack on April 19, 1986 during the "Lyndon La Rouche Theatre" sketch, by Jon Lovitz on November 11, 1989 during the "Wimbledon" sketch, by Mike Myers on December 12, 1992 during "The Royal Separation" sketch and on February 6, 1993 during "The Tampon Prince" sketch and currently by Fred Armisen from November 20, 2010 to December 15, 2012.

After her husband Prince Philip's death in 2021, the Queen's health started to gradually decline. On September 8, 2022, the Queen’s doctors began to feel concerned for her health and placed her under medical supervision in Balmoral Castle in Scotland. Her family rushed to be with her, but she died hours later at the age of 96, ending a historic 70-year reign as the British monarch. Her last royal activity occurred two days earlier, when the ailing Queen appointed Liz Truss as the fifteenth and final prime minister under her rule. She was succeeded by her son, who became King Charles III.

She was the mother of King Charles III.
