Elvis Presley (January 8, 1935 - August 16, 1977) was an American singer and actor who was one of the most popular American singers of the 20th century and is commonly known by the single name Elvis and is often referred to as the "King of Rock and Roll" or simply "the King." Although he has never been on Saturday Night Live, he has been impersonated by John Belushi on May 14, 1977 during the "Viva Las Vegas II" sketch, by Robert Downey, Jr. on November 9, 1985 during the "National Inquirer Theatre" sketch, by Kevin Nealon on October 15, 1988 during "The Five Beatles" sketch and by Rob Schneider and John Goodman simultaneously on March 14, 1992 during the "Unforgivable" sketch.
