Damon Kyle Wayans Sr. (born September 4, 1960) is an American stand-up comedian, writer and actor, one of the Wayans family.

Wayans was brought in as a featured player for season 11. He was fired after the March 15, 1986 episode. On that episode, in the sketch Mr. Monopoly, Wayans was cast as a police officer who stood mostly silent during an interrogation. Fed up with what he saw as a string of small, unimportant parts throughout the season, he broke from the script and portrayed the character as flagrantly gay. (He performed to the script during the dress rehearsal.) Lorne Michaels fired him after the show, but invited him back to do standup for the last episode of the season. He also returned nine years later to host an episode.
