Carrie Marie Underwood (born March 10, 1983) is an American country singer, songwriter and actress best known for winning the fourth season of the Fox reality television singing competition American Idol. She appeared on Saturday Night Live as a musical guest on March 24, 2007 where she performed "Before He Cheats" and "Wasted" and on February 23, 2008 where she performed "All-American Girl" and "Flat on the Floor." She is the second American Idol winner to appear on SNL after Kelly Clarkson.
